Kusile Project, in partnership with Alstom, awarded bursaries for tertiary education studies
Background
In an effort to further strengthen human capital development initiatives, Kusile Power Station Project and Alstom looked at a number of key strategic issues affecting South Africa as a whole as well as the Mpumalanga province. This initiative focused on Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial) at a BSc, National
Diploma, and Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting level.
Work completed
Eskom Kusile Project, in partnership with Alstom, awarded bursaries for tertiary education studies to 90 learners from the Mpumalanga province and purchased 10 microwaves and 10 bar fridges for the top 10 learners.

Cost implications: R2 000 000.00
Beneficiation: Ninety students
Vitrovian in partnership with Eskom Kusile in 2015 provided 15 Students from the Nkangala region with Bursaries . These students are studying at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University , Vaal University of Technology and the Tshwane University of Technology .Students receiving bursaries are pursuing studies in the following fields , Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
